Safety Brakes

Application:

The SB and SBD series hydraulic safety (emergency) brakes are high-power braking devices used on low-speed shafts (drum shafts). They can be widely applied for emergency safety braking in medium and large cranes, port loading and unloading machinery, and low-speed shafts of boom pitching mechanisms.

Suitable for working and emergency safety braking in mining cable reels, hoists, and high-power inclined belt conveyors; safety braking for cable cars and cable crane drive mechanisms; and safety (emergency) braking for the lifting mechanisms of special cranes such as foundry cranes.

Main features

Normally closed design, ensuring safety and reliability; braking is applied by disc springs, and hydraulic power releases the brake.

Quick response, with short closing (braking) time.

Can be equipped with a brake release limit switch and a pad wear limit switch, allowing interlock protection and fault display (when using PLC control).

High-performance asbestos-free hard friction pads, with stable friction coefficient, that do not damage the brake disc and are resistant to water and salt mist (sea water).

Optimized sealing structure design and imported high-quality seals, providing excellent performance and long lifespan.

Flexible installation options, and easy to use, adjust, and maintain.
