Safety Brake

Application:

The SB and SBD series hydraulic safety (emergency) brakes are high-power braking devices used on low-speed shafts (drum shafts). They can be widely applied in medium and large cranes, port loading and unloading machinery for lifting, and emergency safety braking on low-speed shafts of boom pitching mechanisms.

They are also suitable for working brakes and emergency safety brakes on mining cable reels, hoists, and high-power inclined belt conveyors; safety brakes for cable cars and cable crane drive mechanisms; and safety (emergency) braking for the lifting mechanisms of special cranes such as foundry cranes.

Main features

Normally closed design, ensuring safety and reliability. The braking force is applied by a disc spring, and the release is driven by hydraulic power.

Responsive action with a short closing (engaging) time.

Can be equipped with a brake release limit switch and a pad wear limit switch for interlocking protection and fault indication (when using PLC control).

High-performance asbestos-free rigid friction pads with a stable friction coefficient that do not damage the brake disc and are resistant to water and salt spray (seawater).

Reasonable sealing structure design and imported brand-name sealing components ensure effective performance and long lifespan.

Flexible installation position with simple usage, adjustment, and maintenance.
